MB Jambrek's Biography
MB Jambrek, MA (b. 1973, Ljubljana, Slovenia) is a teacher, publicist, and media content producer currently working at the Secondary School for Media and Graphic Arts in Ljubljana. With over thirty years of experience organizing and managing media projects, he also collaborates as a technical editor with the New University Publishing House. He is an active member of the Slovenian Society for Lacanian Psychoanalysis. The Dark Side of the Sky is his literary debut, in which he combines his passion for storytelling with his expertise in aviation.
Bostjan has been writing throughout his life, from early publications in school magazines to screenplays and other film scripts. His work has resulted in several short films and the feature film Simpatija (The Crush). Notably, “Simpatija” was the first full-length film entirely produced as part of a school curriculum, placing third in the audience vote at the 2013 Slovenian Film Festival in Portoroz.
His journey into film education began in 2006 when he was appointed program director at the Slovenian Cinematheque. During his tenure, he organized and led numerous high-profile national and international projects, including the six-month European film retrospective “Euroteka” and the live orchestral film concert of Fritz Lang’s “Metropolis” at Cankarjev Dom.
As a publicist, Bostjan delves into topics related to film production, aesthetics, and film theory. Among his diverse body of work are articles such as “Challenges for the 21st Century”, “Innovative Model of Integrated Mentorship”, and “Beyond Reason: Ideas and Politics”. He is also the author of numerous textbooks and educational materials.
In 2018, Bostjan took on the role of accountable manager at Adria Aviation Academy and has since been developing higher education programs in aviation. He continues to serve as technical editor at the New University’s Scientific Publishing House. He is pursuing a doctoral law degree, and his research focuses on establishing a unified airspace for manned and unmanned aircraft.
